When it comes to pizza, I'm not afraid to chow down. I could put away four or five pieces easily. It's possible I have an extra stomach made especially for this perfect, wonderful food.

At Brother's Pizzeria Restaurant, I could only eat one piece - that's how ginormous the slices were.

I ordered two slices - mushroom and plain - expecting to leave the restaurant still hungry.

Just one piece stuffed me like a turkey. The pizza immediately reminded me of Pizza Hut's pan pizza - thick crust with lots of cheese.

"We make fresh dough every day and we cut our own cheese," said manager Jim Dizarli.

If you're a sauce person, the cheese definitely dominates the pizza (which was good for me, since I'm more of a cheese-lover).

The tomato sauce is fairly basic, but it could have used a little more garlic.

My fellow Cheap Eater ordered lasagna with no meatballs. It came with a side salad and garlic bread. I immediately began eyeing up the bread and just had to swipe a piece.

It was crispy and had the right amount of garlic. Her dinner arrived not long after my pizza was served.

The lasagna was buried deep beneath blankets of cheese and sauce.

Our waitress was very friendly, chatty and accommodating.

The lasagna was lukewarm, and she quickly took it back to the kitchen to be reheated.

There's something to be said for minimalism here, as the bare orange walls draw more attention to the chalkboard menu above the front counter, which is covered in a list of the restaurant's most popular items.

Crabcake sub or burger, anyone?

If your stomach is grumbling for greasy potatoes, the appetizer list has an amazing variety of french fries: plain fries, pizza fries, waffle fries, cheese fries, Old Bay fries, belly buster fries and mega fries.

The last two include various meats and cheeses.
